Riverside Women was birthed from the inspiration found in the Bible of the women who met by the riverside together to pray in the following scripture:

“And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.” Acts 16:13

Some people from the New Testament church met daily and so there seemed to be a need for extra support in the body of Christ outside of the local church for an informal weekly meetup for Christian women in the community wanting to succeed in the process of sanctification, overcome the flesh and take practical steps to live a life walking in the Spirit and character of Jesus Christ.

Not everyone, even within the church, is passionate about pushing into holiness but if even one women from each of the 10 (for example) local churches got together at the weekly meetup, that would be an incredible group of women – Jesus only needed 12 people, and, from that, great exploits for Gods Kingdom were made!

Our aim is to facilitate and organise a place for these meetings to take place, face-to-face and online. We also look to provide support, resources and practical ways to find and master the calling of the Christians life and their place within the body of Christ where they can serve their brothers and sisters in Christ using their individual gifting’s. The meetups are also open to anyone interested in learning more about Christianity and the evidence for God.
